The Erie County Aquatic Hall of Fame (ECAHF) exists to promote aquatics through the recognition of both athletes and non-athletes of Erie County who have made outstanding contributions in the field of aquatics.
Inductees of the Hall of Fame will include but are not limited to swimmers, divers, water polo players, coaches and officials. Inductees will have reached the age of 30 by their year of induction. The ECAHF will accept nominations at anytime. There is no accomplishment that qualifies anyone for automatic induction. The ECAHF board members will select inductees by Thanksgiving of the year previous to their induction. The Erie County Aquatic Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will take place in the spring of each year.
The ECAHF also provides scholarships to outstanding student athletes who have a desire to attend a training camp to improve their skills. The Hall of Fame will also promote events to further the aquatic movement in Erie County.
The Erie County Hall of Fame was founded by Tom Doyle in 1998.
